Individual Counseling

$100 | In-Person and Online

During individual counseling, we will work one-on-one, as a collaborative team to develop a unique treatment plan. We will discuss goals for counseling, as well as working to develop coping skills.

Couples Counseling

$120 | In-Person and Online

Relationships are important. Often times individual struggles surface in our relational interactions. During couples counseling, we will work on different areas including communication, boundaries, conflict, trust, and healing. Together we will collaborate on goals and create a safe space to explore emotions and experiences.

I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Methods Couples Therapy.

Pre-Marital Counseling

$120 | In Person and Online + $35 for Assessment

I am a SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) Assessment Facilitator. In Premarital counseling, each couple will complete the SYMBIS Assessment and receive a personalized detailed report. Over a course of 8-10 sessions, we will discuss your SYMBIS report. The SYMBIS Assessment covers more than two-dozen dimensions of a couple based on research. These areas include psychological wellbeing, expectations, intimacy, communication, conflict management, spirituality, finances, and more.

I am a registered service provider for Twogether in Texas Healthy Marriage Program.

  • Engage to Change is not a crisis counseling center. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go to your local emergency room for an evaluation.

  • A Licensed Professional Counselor Associate is a provisional license. An LPC-Associate has completed a professional counseling graduate program (60-hours, including 600-hour practicum), as well as passed a national examination, and is currently working under supervision to complete necessary clinical hours to obtain full licensure. As an LPC-Associate, I am under the supervision of Shannon Dusza, LPC-S.

  • Due to the nature of counseling, I am in session for the majority of the day. Therefore, messages may not receive a response until the following business day. Existing clients may utilize the secure messaging feature of the client portal in order to get in contact with me. New Clients may request information by filling out the “Contact Me” form.

  • During your first appointment, we will go over the information you signed and go over any questions or concerns that you may have. We will focus on gathering information about your history, your reason for seeking counseling, and your desired counseling goals. You may complete some assessments that are deemed helpful. Based on the information gathered, we will go over information regarding further treatment options.

  • I do not take insurance as payment; therefore, all clients will be required to provide payment at the time of your session. I can provide a receipt that includes all information necessary to file for reimbursement with your insurance company. It will be accessible to you through the client portal. It is advisable that you contact your insurance company to determine both your eligibility and reimbursement amounts for out of network providers if you plan to seek reimbursement.

  • Counseling sessions will be 50 minutes in duration, including intake sessions and all subsequent sessions.
